Reviews
My husband and I are used to going to Hunan for take out and getting the buffet box to go. They are okay; but it's not always as fresh as we'd like. I decided to give China Garden a try and they are amazing and the food was so hot and fresh. The lady on the phone, and also who rang us up, was extremely nice and the place looked very clean but surprisingly empty for a Saturday. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken, and Chicken and Broccoli with light broccoli to share for lunch the next day and it is one of the best Chinese places we've ever had. The price was incredible too and we got soooo much food for $32 and she had the bag packed full of all types of sauces, napkins, cutlery, fortune cookies, and a menu for our fridge. It was a wonderful take out experience.
China garden is my favorite around. We eat here quite often and the food is always good.
We order take out or delivery from here when delivery is an option (on two separate occasions they said no delivery). It always arrives at our house hot and fresh. Not really an atmosphere to take a date, but my husband loves their Kung Po chicken, Sesame chicken, chicken with cashew nuts, and orange chicken. Appetizers: While not healthy, the crab cheese Rangoons are tasty. The spring and egg rolls are crispy and hot. I always get their sezchuan style bean curd. It's mildly spicy with crispy bean curd and vegetables. I wish they were always consistent with the vegetables in this dish, but I've ordered it when they only included broccoli, carrots, and onions, and then I've ordered it when they included water chestnuts, baby corn, and mushrooms which I love. I hope one day they offer more bean curd dishes like maybe bean curd and veggies with the orange sauce or sesame sauce. I cannot speak to their seafood selection although I know my sister chooses these items when she orders and she is a seafood fan.
A little pricey, but very big portions; I got the orange chicken, lo mein, and an egg roll for $12. Noodles were good, and the chicken had a good crunch. The chef (I think husband and wife) made my order in less than 5 minutes. Overall, good place and recommend to those craving American Chinese food.
